The ESSIbuy electronic Logistics Support (eLS) system
is a cost-effective, web-based dedicated program that offers maintenance
transaction data collection, trouble ticket creation, preventative maintenance
scheduling and custom reporting, in one neat package.
The eLS system was designed and is fully supported, maintained and
secured by ESSIbuy’s highly qualified staff of technicians. The foundation of the eLS
system is a relational database designed to capture and report on the most
current, pertinent maintenance information available. Parts and end items are
tracked by serial number and the system can be queried in real-time for the
most up-to-date maintenance information.
In addition, preventative maintenance schedules can be created and updated to provide a current log of required maintenance tasks. Upon completion of a scheduled maintenance task, the maintenance transaction is recorded and permanently related to the affected end item. In the case of unscheduled maintenance, trouble tickets or maintenance requests can be created and analyzed for further action, if needed. One or more maintenance transactions may be created as a result of a maintenance request, depending upon what needs to be done to the affected equipment.

Another strength of the eLS System is its flexibility. Maintenance

transaction attribute fields can be customized to meet the requirements of
the specific program the ESSIbuy eLS system
is supporting. Reports can also be tailored to the needs of the program or
customer and are accessible to the program team through the password secured
web portal. These reports are available, 24/7.
Flexible –
ESSIbuy is currently using the eLS to support the U.S. Army and Marine
Corps’ Multi-Purpose Decontamination System (MPDS) CLS Program and the U.S.
Army Communications and Electronics Command’s Generator Reset Program. The
World Wide Web allows our field technicians real-time access to the maintenance
log book which maintains records on every system by serial number, location,
unit, maintenance actions performed, parts consumed, costs incurred and other
pertinent information. The data will be used by our customers to plan maintenance
and supply requirements for future support.
