CECOM
awarded a Rapid Response contract to ESSIbuy to support its production
and rebuild requirements for the Inland Petroleum Distribution System, the
Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Unit and other depot manufacturing activities,
including special requirements for disaster containers requested by FEMA.
By using our automated purchasing system to integrate and manage the
depot’s supply chain, we were able to significantly reduce lead times and
decrease overall costs.
We continue to work with the Depot by supporting other projects that require a quick turnaround and spare parts support. ESSIbuy provides our depot customers a secure log-on to our Web site where they are able to request and order parts and obtain real-time information regarding their purchasing activities, including shipment tracking.
We have also supported Digital Communication Satellite Systems (DCSS), Ground
Support Equipment, Depot Manufacturing and Test Equipment and Firefinder
through various task orders.
